Ms. deGravelles is a true communications specialist with over 25 years experience in promoting state organizations, businesses, industries and healthcare. Since graduating in Journalism from the Manship School of Mass Communications at Louisiana State University (B.A. Journalism ’70) she has continued her education through workshops and seminars on marketing, Internet strategy, creativity and public relations planning and problem solving. She has a great deal of experience in effectively communicating the issues of education reform in Louisiana. Recent projects have included the statewide promotion of LA 4 preschool implementation for the Louisiana Department of Education and for the Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program on math and science reform.
Ms. deGravelles has won numerous Lantern Awards for public relations programs, the Best of Show advertising copy award, and the prestigious Jacqueline Leonhard Award for Health Care Writing Excellence. She has captured numerous national awards, including the Catholic Health Care Association Spirit Award and the coveted Telly Award for television production. Her campaign for Our Lady of the Lake’s original Spirit of Healing campaign had one of the area’s highest recall numbers ever in the Baton Rouge area. |
